Orchid mini purse
Hand-painted vintage leather purse. This purse has been painted using high-quality leather paint and then sealed and cured under a blue light. The purse is completely wearable and took over 40 hours of painting to create. If needed the purse can be cleaned using a soft cloth or very mild soap and lukewarm water, do not use any steel wool or cloth that may scratch the leather surface.
My floral purse series was created as a result of the need to express how beautiful the contents of women's purses can be, detailed intentional and feminine. Each purse used was a vintage purse that was stained and now has been reclaimed through leather care and painting. Sustainability is an extremely important part of my art making process and I often use reclaimed materials. Giving things a new life feels unreal.
